Disabling NETBIOS via GP
Is it possible to disable NETBIOS over TCP/IP via Group Policy? I know you can disable it via DHCP server, but this will not affect the servers since they are static IP addresses. I am wondering if it is possible, or do I have to go through and change the properties on all the network cards manually?Michael R. Mastro II

You don't have option to disable NetBIOS over TCPIP through Group Policy.+ You can create script file to set value to 2 to disable feature and push script through logon script.HKLM\SYSTEM\CCS\Services\Netbt\Parameters\interface\TCPIP_GUID - NetbiosOptions - REG_DWORDSet Value according to requirement1 - enable NetBIOS over TCPIP2 - disable NetBIOS over TCPIP+ You need to restart computer or disable and re-enable NIC for registry to come info effect.hope this helps
