Direct Access Setup Certification will not resolve

Hi, I am trying to setup direct access on a windows server 2012 R2 server. I have installed the required roles and click on the getting started wizard in direct access. I enter my external URL and click next and then finish and it always fails on the final step with the following error.

Error: The subject name of the network location server certificate does not resolve correctly. Ensure that the name resolves to the IP address of the internal network adapter of the server.

What am i doing wrong?

The server is setup using direct access only with one interface.

Thanks

Hi,

As the message itself shows, please ensure that subject name of the network location server certificate matches the network location server name.

For instance, if the FQDN of network location URL is NLS.remote.com, then the subject name of the certificate needs to be NLS.remote.com.

More information for you:

In addition, since the issue is not related to Remote Desktop Services (Terminal Services), please refer to Network Infrastructure Servers forum below if there are any further requirements.
