Dial up issue Windows Server 2003 R2
I have a problem when using a dial-up modem on a Windows Server 2003 R2 , the server uses this connection as the default network on remote network even if I uncheck "Use default network on remote network" (Internet protocol TCP/IP - Properties - Advanced ). When I dial up I loose all other communication that we have. We have used Windows 2000 server earlier and did not have any problem.

Hi IETVAB, Thanks for posting here. So have we verified the routing table on windows server 2003 R2 after this connection was up and what the default gateway address was this server point to use ? The IP routing table http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc779122(WS.10).aspx Thanks. Tiger LiTiger Li TechNet Community Support

Hi Tiger Li! Thanks for your support! When we checked the routing table we realised that the default gateway did not change, but instead the dns changed. So after changing dns in the dialup-connection the problem dissapeared.
