Hello AllI do find dcdiag tools in W2K8 however i am not able to find netdiag.Can you please advise me where i can find build in network diad tools in W2K8?Panoramix

Netdiag.exe tool has beendeprecated in Vista and Windows Server 2008. It's not supported.

Copy Netdiag.exe file from Windows server 2003 to server 2008 and give a shot. it should work fine.

and to add to shilpesh's idea,this tool will pump you with lot of error message when run on windows 2008 .and also you might not see replmon utility with windows 2008 and as of today there is no replacement tool added for netdiagsainath Windows Driver Development

Those MS guys should have paid 500% attention while writing technet articles, instead of doing copy-n-paste blindly. Let me explain what I'm talking about. In the article "Verifying an AD DS Installation" (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc772522%28WS.10%29.aspx), notice that it's within the scope of "Windows Server 2008 R2", we are given a link to another article "Verifying AD installation" (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc781459%28WS.10%29.aspx). Notice that the 2nd article is within the scope of "Windows Server 2003 Operations"! Then several steps, eg "Verify DNS registration and functionality" (http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc737989%28WS.10%29.aspx), require us to use this famous netdiag program! Sh....
