Hi,

I have just configured a VMM 2012 R2 installation to manage a VMware cluster. I can deploy a new VM from VMM just fine.

Then I imported a VMware template and now I try to deploy it to the cluster. When selecting placement it gives me the following error,

The virtualization software on host esxi3.domain.int does not support setting NumLock.
Specify a host that is running Windows Hyper-V and then try the operation again.

ID: 10638

It is always the host number 3 out of 8 hosts that gives the error.
We are using VMware ESXi 5.1 and vCenter 5.5

I also imported a VMware template into VMM 2012 R2 and cannot deploy because of this error.

Hi Hans,

Just tried a new template based on Windows Server 2008 R2 with the same result.

Which version of vCenter do you use? We have 5.5 and it looks like there is only support for 5.1 and lower

I has the same problem, using SCVMM 2012 R2 to create virtual machines from VMware template to ESXi Hosts:

(vCenter Server:5.1u1, ESXi Server: 5.1u1)
