Deploying EXE windows updates

Currently there is no WSUS in our domain, but i need to deploy an important update to our windows client computer (Windows-KB943729). so that our client pc's can understand the settings i have set in the user configuration > preferences > Windows Settings
in the group policy.

is there any possible way to automate the distribution of this update without WSUS?

Hi,
you could deploy via GPO startup script
edit: some links which should help (check them thoroughly as it is quite an old topic):

To deploy EXE files through Group Policies, you should use .MSI packs. Also all the client PCs joined to domain.

To create MSI packs, check the KB257718 article.

I suggest you to use WSUS or Config Manager for patch management.

Thanks
