Dependency monitor in SCOM 2012 R2
hi all
i've been trying to use dependency rollup monitor for AD & DNS
but it seems that its not that easy
is there anyone who can help me with that
and i figure out is must be related to CLASS and Relationsheep and stuff
by the way i'm so sorry becuase of my english... :(

actually i exactly see these links before i post in technet
i know how depandancy works but i have problem with deploying it
for example in scom 2012 i cant find class which in some documents says must be in authoring !!!
and i have that video and i saw it but unfortuantly it doesnt demo the dependency monitoring!!!

i want step by step guide with an example for dependency monitor in SCOM 2012
for example AD with DNS...
i want when dns is down i get alert for my AD!
my problem is when i right click on AD and select monitor when dependency monitor i dont have DNS on avaiable object while i was reaching i figure it out that maybe we must create CLASS and Relationship stuff which i have NO IDEA what are they!!!

Hi,

For how to create classes and relationships, we may use authoring console.

If we export a management pack we will see those classes' definitions, here is thread that could be helpful, please go through it:

thanks for the link but in scom 2012 in authoring panel there is not such a thing as it says in refrences...

Hi,

We can use SCOM 2007 authoring console to create classes, management packs, and then import them to SCOM 2012 to use.
