Demoting 2000 AD is effects SQL Server?
I have just started to working on a new company. I have Server 2000 DC and SQL Server and some private services are running on that. I need to demote this server and use this one only as a member server. Is demoting the server affects these services? especially SQL Server. Yours Sinceraly

Hello, running applications like SQL on a DC is bad configuration and not recommended. More details about in: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms144228(v=SQL.90).aspx Before demoting the server i would move the SQL server to another domain member server and make sure that it run correct. For details about either option, please use the SQL server forum instead this one. http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-us/category/sqlserver There are the SQL experts.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
