Deleting queued email notifications in SCSM 2012

Hi,

We have disabled the email notification channel in SCSM 2012 and the workflows which are used to trigger the email notification were running.

Now, we need to enable the notification channel. But, we suspect that all the old emails which are queued in workflow will trigger once we enable the notification and will spam the customers mailbox.

If this is the case, how can we find and kill the pending email notifications in SCSM 2012.

Please suggest how to proceed with this.

Hi,

If we kill the MonitoringHost.exe process from task manager on the workflow server, does this activity deletes all the pending email notifications?

Please help in this regard. We are badly stucked with this issue for long time.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi,

We have disabled the notifications in the workflow status. When we enabled them the queued emails did indeed spam the clients. We have since disabled the notifications again and would also like to know where the notifications are stored so we can delete them before re-enabling them again.

Thanks

Gary

Hi,

Take a look at the end of this post, right Before the appendix:

You will need to increase your watermark if you want to make sure that old notifications won't trigger.

Hi Anders, is this the only way to delete already queued notifications? Is there a way to do it without Powershell?
