Deleting just one event...
Hi all; Is there a way to just delete an event from, for example, Application event log, instead of deleting all of the events? Thanks

Dear Imprise, Thanks for your posting! I assume that you want to delete all the events available in 'Application' Log. Right? If yes you can follow these steps 1. Right click on Application log -> Clear all events 2. Click No button in the displayed messagebox. If I misunderstood you problem please drop some more lines with additional description. Thanks and Regards, Bharath S.

Thanks for your reply; I want to delete just one event among many other events, in for example, Application log. Is this possible? Thanks

Hello, you can't delete a single event from the logfiles, that's by design.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.

As Meinolf indicated, its not possible with the current architecture. I'm curious, though, as to why you need to to this?? -------- Regards, Hank Arnold Microsoft MVP Windows Server - Directory Services http://it.toolbox.com/blogs/personal-pc-assistant/ On 12/30/2010 7:18 AM, imprise wrote: Hi all; Is there a way to just delete an event from, for example, Application event log, instead of deleting all of the events?
