Deleting System 32 files in Vista Home Premium
HiI have installed the dreaded Platte media files and I have tried to remove them following the instructions from other forums, but the 2 files left PM_PROC1.exe and PM_PROC2.exe in the System32 folder wont allow me to delete them, as my laptop says I do not have permission to do that, even though I am the only user and as such my account is the Administrator one that is set up first.Anyone know how I can delete these 2 files? Many thanksRichard

Just as an update to this, you can use the wonderful freeware program called "Unlocker", located at click here. Just right click the file in question, click the "Unlocker" option in the context menu, then highlight any programs using the file and click Unlock or Unlock All at the bottom of the window, you should then be able to delete the file. When I used it to unlock the 2 pm_proc files (fromthe dreaded Plateet media software!)it came up with a drop down that asked for an action, and I chose Delete and it deleted them!
