Debug ssrs_migration.rss in Visual Studio (RS.EXE)

Hi

I'm trying to migrate SSRS objects between servers using RS.EXE, but I'm getting an error that's affecting datasources and data driven subscriptions.

I'd like to debug the code in Visual Studio.

What exactly is RS.EXE adding to the script, so that I can do the same?

Has anyone tried to do this before ? (I'm a complete beginner at VB.NET)

Thanks,

Hi Jason,

Based on my research, online official document has provided sample RSS script that copies content items and settings from one SQL Server Reporting Services report server to another report server, using the RS.exe utility. The script contains many methods of the Reporting Services API, it provides access to the full functionality of the report server.

In your scenario, you can download the sample script file to perform migration. For more information, please refer to articles below:

If you have any question, please feel free to ask.
