Date jumping years ahead
We are running SQL onWindows 2003 server and have had a problem with date on the server randomly jumping ahead manyyears in the future....like to the year 2022. In reviewing the event logs, it appears that just before this happens, we get two loadperf errors, which may or may not be related to the data problem. The errors are:10/25/2009 3:34:29 AM LoadPerf Information None 1000 N/A SAM Performance counters for the WmiApRpl (WmiApRpl) service were loaded successfully. The Record Data contains the new index values assigned to this service.10/25/2009 3:34:29 AM LoadPerf Information None 1001 N/A SAM Performance counters for the WmiApRpl (WmiApRpl) service were removed successfully. The Record Data contains the new values of the system Last Counter and Last Help registry entries. We also get an event message about an SQL process. That message says:12/16/20228:46:56 PM MSSQLSERVER Information -2 17177 N/A SAM This instance of SQL Server has been using a process id of 1352 since 10/25/2009 4:30:31 AM (local) 10/25/2009 11:30:31 AM (UTC).Note that "SAM" is the name of the server in the messages above.Does anyone have any idea what would cause the date on this server to jump ahead so far into the future? Would it be related to a the LoadPerf messages or is that just a coincidence? Thanks in advance,Veronica
