Date format in SQL 2012 SSAS

Hi,

I have question regarding SSAS date format. Same cube has been published on two machines and date format is different:

WIN7 x64 - my dev machine: YYYY-MM-DD

  • MSSQL 2012 11.0.5058.0 Multidimensional
  • AS Language = English (United States)
  • Cube Language = 1033
  • Windows Region and Language settings: Format (English - United States), Short Date (M/d/yyyy), Location (United States).

Win Srv 2012 R2 Standard: M/d/yyyy

  • MSSQL 2012 11.0.5058.0 Multidimensional
  • AS Language = English (United States)
  • Cube Language = 1033
  • Windows Region and Language settings: Format (English - United States), Short Date (M/d/yyyy), Location (United States).

Date format from DSV is datetime: yyyy-mm-dd, e.g. 2013-08-18 00:00:00.000.

Date attribute configuration in SSAS:

Type: Date

KeyColumn - DataType: Date

NameColumn - DataType: WChar

Does anyone know what setting has impact on date format which is displayed?

Thanks

Hi LezekGDY,

have you already had a look at the collation of the SSAS Server (Open SSAS in SSMS; right click on the instance name and choose properties; navigate to "Language/Collation")?

Cheers

Thanks for your message Martin.

Yes, I did check collation and both have same settings:
