Data extraction from Hyperion Financial Management using SSIS
I want to build a data import process with SSIS, sourcing Hyperion Financial Management. Accoring to my knowldge there were a Star Integration Server (Star Analytics acquired by IBM in Feb 2013) doing the extraction job and which could be used in SSIS.
As this product is not available now, Any other suggestion , how t

Not sure about Financial Management, but on TechNet there is an article on how to get data from Essbase to SSRS
How to: Retrieve Data from a Hyperion Essbase Data Source
That can be used for SSIS, too so I trust this all what you need, it merely encompasses a connection string:
Data Source=http://localhost:13080/aps/XMLA; Initial Catalog=Sample

Thanks for Reply ArthurZ. Yes this is possible to use this connection string with some script to define buffer Columns and Types. Actually I was looking , if there is any possibility to select Hyperion as
Source easily as for example OLEDB, or Flat file etc.

When I was working with Essbase I pulled data into Excel using their add-on, I am not sure if it of OLEDB type, doubt it. But I cannot check now, if you have it ( a paid add-on ) you can try if SSIS sees Hyperion thru it.
Otherwise this is all you can do.
