This is Marcos I have a question for you, currently I'm working with SQL 2k and I have DTS working with text file form FTP and processing this data, my question is easy, in some cases I received this text.txt in my FTP arround 3am to 4am so I schedule my DTS to run at 5am when I'm sure that text file are updated in my FTP but sometimes this text is not updated or is updated at 6-7 am. I want to know if SQL have a special tool to detect when text are updated in my FTP, this text file are updated daily then I just need to know if the creation date or uploading date is from today.

This is very oldp ost but I'd like to mark is as answered. The final solution was to create a step that will verify if the file exists, if yest then run. Else, then wait for some 30 minutes then re-try. I did this with scripting and powershell.
