DPM 2007 on win svr 2008 x64
Since there is no DPM forum, we will start it on Win Svr 2008.We have DPM 2007 server with Win 2003 x32 domain member,that covers another Win 2003 x32 DC with success. But we cant protect another DC Win 2008 X64running Exchange 2007 x64.We already searched all web and tryed everithing we found without success. Firewall service is off, QoS is on, RPC and COM+ are ok,Distributed COM users, DPMRADCOMTrustedMachines, DPMRADMTrustedMachines already are in ADUC. We done SetDPMServer and Attach server with success and no error messages, tried remote and local agent instalation with no erros, DPRMA agent goes up and there is no error logs. RA vesion is 2.0.5810.0.Everything was removed and installed again with no changes. We got the message below:Agent operation failed ID:370 We also have error ID:270 It looks like X Files: There is anyone OUT THERE with the same problem? Thanks for any help.Gerson Porto

Hello, Bsed on the researchI have found that theDPM machine doesnot have DCOM permissions to talk to production computer.This forum is dedicated to Win 2008 support. Please refer tosupport of DPM 2007, It is better to submit a new post in our DPM newsgroup. Hi Jack, Verma´s link is correct. DPM has new name "System Center Data Protection Manager". We solve our problem by another way: we changed to Symantec BackupExec and ist running smootly since then. Good luck
