DNS issues
We have one of 30 sites that closed for the summer and we had a Dc failure, we decided not to replace the DC and set the computers to forward their requests to a regional office. It seems like the older computers with older user accounts work fine, they connect to network shares and outlook. However some newer user accounts cannot get onto network shares or resolve in outlook. Any thoughts on something to check. We have flushed the caches, changes primary and secondary DNS servers, used rpcping to confirm connectivity to the mail server. Thanks,Andy

Please run nslookup and see if the problematic clients are resolving the dns address ? also try disabling the client side firewall and Av for some time and give a try.Thankshttp://technetfaqs.wordpress.com
