Hello everyone,
I am in the middle of a server deployment project. I ran into a problem where I added the DNS server's address to our DNS Lookup on the router. I did this so that users could add themselves to the domain without having to change their DNS on their computer's IPv4. That worked. However, our email service in Outlook and our website which are both hosted by a hosting company went down internally. They were fine when you tried to go in from outside our internal network. I reversed the change and everything went back to normal. Now I'm trying to figure out how I can add the DNS on the router without causing that issue. I know for a fact that our domain is the same domain as the one used on the hosting site.
However, we can't change the domains so it has to be like that. Does fixing this involve adding the DNS records from the hosting site to the DNS server, or something else entirely?
