DNS Round Robin with check in advance?
Guys,
I am with the following scenario:
I have a router with two WAN
links, each link comes from a different ISP,
and corresponding IP. My DNS is
external.
I have a site that is behind the router,
eg.: www.empresa.com.
I configured the external DNS to redirect the two IPs for www.empresa.com in ROUNDROBIN. However, when a link is
offline, the ROUND ROBIN continues to
send requeststo that IP.
How can I work with two IPs pointing

look into installing a wan failover device or setting up bgp.

Thanks for posting here.
I agree that you may consider deploying dedicate device in this scenario since round robin is not a professional solution for failover.
NLB is one of solution you may take look:
