Hello,Is there a way in Windows DHCP server to have DHCP server keep a table of past IP address assignments so that it can preferentially assign a client the same IP address it previously had? Thanks in advance

Is it possible for you to reserve the IP-address or do you need another solution ?

Hello, Thank you for your post here. From the description, you have a concern about whether the client can get the same IP address once the lease expires. When a client is already assigned an IP address, the renewal process will help to renew that lease with the server and the client will have the same IP address. In other word, if there is not any configuration changed on the clients (such as change back to DHCP from a static address) the client will always have the IP address assigned that the client get from the DHCP server. If you want to assign a IP address to a client permanently, you may create Reservations according to the MAC address on the client's NIC.
