You could check the ip helper configuration,if you have Vlans(needs to be configure new dhcp ip adress.),And before migration take a full backup of your current DHCP.
Also check this article for migration (same steps for 2012)
Make sure when migration completed sucessfully,just remove dhcp role on old server.

We have vlans, and vlans under control of network guy. After finishing with migration what networkguy must do?
How i understand moving DHCP is straightforward yes?

Hi
Your network admin needs to configure new dhcp ip adrress on router (ip helper) for Vlans.Also you just test on a client,renew the ip on client,if the client assing ip from new dhcp it is OK.
Usually the ip helper configuration is overlooked on migration scenarios,just careful about this.
