DHCP Allow and Deny Filters
If I set up an apply filter, is an implicit deny filter automatically in place? For example, if I allow only devices from HP, will it automatically deny all other devices not from HP? If not, how do I set this up?

Hi

If you could configure filters(ex:allow) on dhcp (i mean on rootIPv4),only allow computers will get ip adress from the dhcp server,You can use Scope-level link layer filtering for this, this configure the filtering on scope level,

Check this detailed article about Scope-level link layer filtering using DHCP policies in Windows Server 2012

Hi Jtentus,

Agree with Burak, if allow filter is configured, other devices could not get IP addresses. And it is effective for all scopes.

Here is the reference for it:

Enable and Configure MAC Address Filtering:

If you need scope level filter, we could follow the guide provided by Burak.

Best Regards,

Leo
