DFS link question
I am looking to set up a DFS link for our private data and trying to figure out the best way to do this. The private data folder is not a shared folder, but each individual folder inside is shared. Do I need to create a separate link for each folder or is there a better way to set this up? This is on Windows Server 2003 Standard.

Hi, A link is an element in a DFS namespace that lies below the root and maps to one or more targets, each of which corresponds to a shared folder. The target is the mapping destination of a DFS root or link, which corresponds to a shared folder. For each DFS link, you can create a set of targets to which the DFS link points. Please note that when adding a DFS link, the folder that you specify as the target must be an existing shared folder. For more information, please check the following articles: Adding a target http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc737646(WS.10).aspx Add a DFS link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc786552(WS.10).aspx Step-by-Step Guide to Distributed File System (Dfs) http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727150.aspx Thanks.
