DFS domain namespace home folders
Hi, Thanks for your post. You need to use ABE to hide folders from users that you dont want to see. Access-based enumeration (ABE) displays only the files and folders that a user has permissions to access. If a user does not have Read permissions for a folder, Windows hides the folder from the users view. Hi, Following on from creation of hidden home and profile folders, i'm looking to present those as part of a DFS namespace, with replication occuring on a backup DC/DNS/File Server box. How would i go about setting it up if i had a \\domain.net root and the real folders were home$ and profile$, i'm a bit sketchy on some of the terminology and how it specifically applies to stuff like hidden home folders and profile shares.
