DFS can not add New Root Target
Hi all,When I try to add a new root target to a existing DFS Root it does not get published in the replication page and does not recieve any replicated files from the other root targets. However when I can complete delete the entire DFS Root and recreate it works fine. We are trying to put the root different Domain Controllers running Windows Server 2003 SP2, which means we are using the older verison of the Microsoft DFS Utility.Any help is appricated.Thank you in advancedChristian Lamparth

Hi Christian, This issue may be occur when the previous existing DFS root configuration in Active Directory database was corrupted. When you completed delete the entire DFS root and recreate it, the system also recreated the DFS root object in Active Directory, which ensure that the DFS replicated successfully. The domain-based DFS configuration in the following Active Directory database. You may use ADSIedit.msc bind to the Default naming context to check the DFS configuration as followed. CN= rootname, CD=Dfs-Configuration, CN=System, DC=Domainname Meanwhile, what do you mean by "We are trying to put the root different Domain Controllers running Windows Server 2003 SP2, which means we are using the older version of the Microsoft DFS Utility"?
