Just as a complement: In your case 700 GB (twice your data store) is really a BIG (or huge) Staging Quota. In my setups I cannot `waste` so much space for just one Replication Staging Quota. My experience shows: For initial setup a large Staging Quota is good, but not bigger than all files to be replicated. For normal daily replication it depends on the change on your files. Usually I use the recommendation to get the 9 largest files in your data set and set the replication 10 or 20% larger than these files. This is also supported by Microsoft: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc782648(WS.10).aspx All situations are different. You must know and feel what your data is, how often it changes and how much it changes in a daily basis. Check backlogged files and make daily Health Reports to see if your replication is healthy. Just some points to add a bit to the discussionThank you, F. Schubert System Administrator

Why is that for the initial setup a large Staging Quota is needed ? Let`s say the 300GB files are not touched during a night replciation ..they don`t need a huge quota right ?
