I am following the replication of complete files, but never ends.
the amount of backlog seems to be ending, but grows without explanation.
why this happens?
can someone explain me how this tenicamente replication of files in practice?
Thanks.
Hi Sandro alves,
Thanks for your post.

Is the replication between the DFS servers?
Do you mean the files stuck in DFS Replication Backlog at first? Then stop and grows?
Could you please offer more information about your issues? And you could also check the event log and offer more detail error message for us.
What's more, this article provided many general steps about troubleshooting DFS replication issue. Please see:

Yes. It is the replication between two servers with DFS, with a single folder of 2.3TB.Hi Sandro alves,

Yes. Replication started a number and was diminishing daily. But unexplained rose absurdly again.
The problem is that I can not identify the reason why this happened.
In logs appear errors: EventID: 4304,5004,5014,4406,4202,4204
Hi Sandro alves,
For large backlogs on Windows, this issue occurs when the garbage collection task (GCTask) of DFSR refreshes the stale records.

For event 5004 and 5014, this problem is more likely to be related to an unstable WAN connection. So please check your connection.

For event 4202 and 4204, events may occur under normal operating conditions. Seeing many 4202 and 4204 events may indicate a problem. Things to consider:
- Is the Replicated Folder (RF) logging 4202 performing initial replication? If so, it is normal to log 4202 and 4204 events. You will want to keep these to down to as few as possible during Initial Replication by providing as much staging area as possible
- Simply checking the total number of 4202 events is not sufficient. You have to know how many were logged per RF. If you log twenty 4202 events for one RF in a 24 hour period that is high. However if you have 20 Replicated Folders and there is one event per folder, you are doing well.
- You should examine several days of data to establish trends.
For event id 4406, replication of this type of reparse point is not supported by the DFS Replication service. To prevent this error, move the reparse point outside of the replicated folder.
