DC and Hyper-V

Hello Technet,

I have searched the forums but i could not find a good answer for my question.

I am setting up a hyper-v failover cluster environment for test purposses. I see a lot of people saying that it is recommended to make the physical servers hyper-v hosts only and to create a virtual DC. I am really wondering why this is, why is it not recommended to make 1 of the hyper-v hosts a DC aswell. The whole network will never be connected to the internet so it will be a local domain.

My test environment:
- 2x Dell poweredge 1950III
- Juniper EX2200 switch
- NAS connected through iSCSI

I hope someone can explain this to me and thanks in advance.
