DCOM error 10009 on Windows 2008 SBS  SP1
Hi I hope someone here can help me with this. I have googled and googled and i have tried alot myself but with now luck to fix this. On a client Windows 2008 SBS sp1 i get hundreds and hundreds of this dcom error 10009: DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer computername.domain.local using any of the configured protocols. And i get this error:DCOM got error "2147944122" from the computer computername.domain.local when attempting to activate the server:{8BC3F05E-D86B-11D0-A075-00C04FB68820}

Hello, Thank you for your post here. In SBS environment, the DCOM event ID 10009 will occur typically when a client workstation has a mis-configured firewall rules which may filter RPC traffics. In your issue that the DCOM request from a domain client, you may check how it works if you disjoin the client from the domain and rejoin it to refresh the firewall settings applied from domain GPOs. If rejoin is not allowed according to corp policy, please follow the KB 957713 to check whether the ports and protocols are properly allowed in the Windows Firewall.
