Custom restart warning message?
Hello, Is it possible to setup a custom message that appears as a warning before restarting a server? We have a server that has multiple roles and it can be hard to keep track of so we'd like a warning message that says something like "restarting this server will affect the following: service A, service B" etc.. Hi, it would be better prevent users to log on on that server and setting disabled policy "Allow system to be shut down without having log on". hthEdoardo Benussi - Microsoft MVP Management Infrastructure - Systems Administration https://mvp.support.microsoft.com/Profile/Benussi Windows Server Italian Forum Moderator edo[at]mvps[dot]org

Hi, As a workaround, we can configure the following policy to remove Shut Down, Restart from Start Menu and create a script or program to shut down, restart the system. In this script, we can add alert message. [User configuration\Policies\Administrative Template\Start Menu and Taskbar\Remove and prevent access to the Shut Down, Restart, Sleep, and Hibernate commands] Thanks. This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties, and confers no rights.
