I know that WINS is a depreciated technology but we have been asked to explore any possibility to migrate WINS data from Forest A to Forest B. Both forests are at Windows Server 2008 FFL/DFL. Is this something which can be achieved ? ThanksHA

WINS is NT legacy software and knows nothing about Active Directory. For that reason, forests have no meaning to WINS. I cannot see why you could not replicate between these two WINS servers. What have you tried? Bill

Hi HA, I agree with Bill. Based on my knowledge, we just need to make our WINS Servers accessible for both networks and configure WINS replication for them.
