I'm building a new development environment with folowing configurations:

• Exchange Server 2013

• TFS Server 2015 RC
• SQL Server 2012 SP1
• Build Server 2015 RC
• Sharepoint 2013
• Dynamic CRM Server 2013

First, I wanted to install those machines in my domain but, when I started to install Exchange server, the install program asked me to prepare my active directory. I don't want to have a sharepoint server for my own need, I need it only to test development features. So, I decided to create a development child domain to my domain.

I crated a new virtual Windows 2012 R2 Standard Server.

I added AD/DS Role.

I'm setting up a child domain.

In the first screen, I selected Domain Type : Child domain.

Parent domain name : mydomain.home

New domain name : ????

Do I type dev and the final address of my domain will be dev.mydomain.home ?

Do I type directely dev.mydomain.home ? (in this case I'm afraid to obtain something like dev.mydomain.home.mydomain.home

 Did you already create the forest?(mydomain.home)if no,you need to create forest first with "add a new forest.(mydomain.home)

then need to create child domain,for this install another 2012 r2 server and configure"add new domain to an existing forest" and type your child domain name.(like dev.mydomain.home)

I used dev

So the final address is dev.mydomain.home

Now, I want mydomain.home domain administrators to be domain administrator of dev.mydomain.home.

 So your parent domain administrators also domain admins of child domain,Also add the accounts on enterprise administrators group for enterprise permission if you need.

Finally I created a new Forest and I managed DNS with a delegation like this :
