Create Domain Local groups (from a excel list), fill them with Global groups

Hello,

The Situation:

-       Domain A  with a AGDLP situation

-       Domain B W2k12 R2

-       DFS on Domain A , (W2k8 but 2000 Fubnctional Forest)

-       The DFS Shares in domain A are on a W2k3 server, they will be transported to  Domain B (W2k8r2 or W2k12r2 )

-       2 Way external trust

We have a Sec Dump of the groups in Domain A, in Excel

In Domain B we will need to create the DL groups in OU xyz, and put the DG Groups in thse DL groups etc etc.

The User account and also the DG groups will remain in Domain A.

In what way can we use Powershell, to realize the same AGDLP structure in Domain B, as now in Domain A

To remain the NTFS permissions wed like to use Robocopy, bu t if there is a powershell tool ..???

Sounds like a challenge to me :-)

thx

I recommend hiring a certified MCSE to help you design and implement your domain move.  Your request is beyond the scope of this forum  We can only answer specific questions about scripting.

Domain migrations can be accomplished via many Microsoft and third party tools.

Again I highly recommend that you contact a consultant. The quesitons you ask show that you are not familiar with migrations and we cannot design this for you.

If you have a structure document that would also be a place to start designing the new structures.  A consultant can help you figure this out.
