Dear allfriend and Expters.

My DNS server have 1 zone is primary Zone name abc.com, and we buy one external domain name def.com.vn

Now, i want to creat a new zone in internal DNS name is def.com.vn for internal user.

I want my external user acess def.com.vn use public IP, and internet user acess def.com.vn use private IP.

Plz help me, thank all friend so much !!

According to your description, you want to create DNS zone for def.com.vn, when internal user queries for name resolution, it returns private address, when external user queries for name resolution, it returns public address.

We could create one zone for the same domain in one DNS server, although we could create several A records in one domain, we couldnt configure the DNS server to return private records for internal clients.

In order to achieve your goal, we may need two DNS servers, one DNS server create the zone def.com.vn, create A records of private address, internal users queries this DNS server for name resolution. Another DNS server create the zone of public address for external users
