Crazy password issues!

I'm pulling my hair out.

  • I'm on a domain-joined machine in the office on the LAN.
  • I can log into my machine with no problem.
  • If I press CTRL-ALT-DEL and reset the password, I get an error that my new password does not meet complexity requirements. I'm 100% certain that it does - not a previous password, etc.
  • I can log into the servers I manage via RDP.
  • I can log into Office 365 on the web and have full admin rights and can access my email.
  • If I open Outlook, I get prompted over and over for my password and eventually lock out my AD account. Outlook is installed from Office 365 and worked fine until today.
  • I can open Lync/Skype and chat with coworkers with no problem.
  • I will be committing ritual suicide at the end of the day.

If it states does not meet complexity rules, it does not (bottom line)

- is there a custom policy rule applied for complexity

- Are you using 3 of the four forms (upper case, lower case, numbers, symbols).

- Are you meeting minimum length requirements
