We have been having an issue with our Crawl deleteing items after 30 days.  The site is a huge site with over 1.9 million items.  When doing a full crawl it finds all of the items just fine.  Then after 30 days a crawl will delete almost all of the 1.9 million items.  Is there anything setup automatically that would be deleting these items from the index? 

The site is full of a bunch of .pdf documents that are archived documents that must be maintained and searchable for mulitiple years (10+).

A full crawl will delete item only if it cannot find the url for the item in reference. You need to check what happens every 30 days. If you go to crawl logs and check history, what is the error message given if you click on deleted items?

Also do you happen to run full crawl only after 30 days? or it does run in between, but those runs don't delete almost all of the it
