Hi, I have found that for some .NET applications crash dumps are not getting generated which is causing difficulty on troubleshooting rare occurences of a crash on a remote machine. I believe I use to get crash dumps for the same application long back, but not nowadays, not sure whether any servicepack/hotfix has changed the behavior. I have checked the settings on these machines (one Windows 2003 Server SP2 as well as WinXP with latest SP) and also checked for any possible config issues according to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898620and no issues with that. [also I tried setting default debugger (drwtsn32 -i) and that doesnt help either.)Any idea how to get a crash dump further? ThanksSathish

Have you configured to create dump as per the below step Click Start, right-click My Computer, and then click Properties. Click the Advanced tab. Under Startup and Recovery, click Settings. what is the path you have provided to save the DUMP. I

It is the default "%SystemRoot%\Minidump". I got minidumps generated for Y! crash etc., but not for many .net applications.
