Conversion of Disk
I am new to hyperv.  We have migrated  our VMs from VMware to HyperV using SCVMM.  I have converted one of our VM's disks which we running server 2008r2 from vhd to vhdx. Will this cause any issues to the VM or do I need to convert it back

VHD vs VHDX does not impact the VM / OS installed on the virtual disk in any way.

VHDX is the newer format and has some efficiencies over VHD.

That is all.

Hi Sir,

Agree with Brian .

You can convert the virtual hard disk format as you need , the vhd format was not limited by the guest OS .

Best Regards,
