Consuming REST Web Service in SSRS

I want to consume a REST webservice in SSRS report. Is it possible? I have seen the SOAP examples like in this blog http://wcompute.org/2012/03/27/ssrs-an-example-of-how-to-consume-a-web-service-without-coding/#comment-87

Is it possible to do the same using REST?

Appreciate any help on this

thanks

To answer in short and simple - it is YES.

You can also see below example.

How do we use credentials for the web service? . The web service I am using requires a username and password.  When I try to use the xml data source it only allows me to use windows authentication. It gives me the below error

Unable to connect to data source 'DataSource1'.The data extension supports Windows Integrated Security and No Credentials (anonymous request) only.

Thanks

The example above URL refers to SOAP action.  This action is not available in REST Service.  Still your answer is YES, then please provide some example.

Thanks!

Hi There RJDBA

I have the same issue with my RESTful interface supporting http basic authentication and requiring a username and password to consume the service.

Have you found a solution to this?
