Hi,
In addition, SCOM 2012 can monitor physical network routers and switches, including the interfaces and ports on those devices, and the virtual local area networks (VLANs) and Hot Standby Router Protocol (HSRP) groups that they participate in, as well as firewalls and load balancers. Operations Manager can monitor network devices that support SNMP, and can provide port monitoring for devices that implement interface MIB (RFC 2863) and MIB-II (RFC 1213) standards.
Here is a list of supported network devices in Operations Manager 2012

Hi,
Thanks for the List of MPs and the Network devices supported in System Center Operations Manager.
What Iam looking for is a consolidated sheet which says "X" is supported in scom 2012, but not supported in 2007 from monitoring perspective. At least for microsoft technologies. A quick reference quide, so that any one can refer and say which technologies are supported and which are not. Some thing like below.
Technology | SCOM 2007 R2 | SCOM 2012 R2 |
Windows server 2000 | Yes | No |
Exchange 2013 | No | Yes |
Lync Server 2013 | Yes | Yes |
SCSM 2012 | No | yes |
Hi,
For whether the product is supported by SCOM 2007 or SCOM 2012, it depends on the management pack defined. Most porducts are supported by both SCOM 2007 and 2012, some products have two kind of management pack, one for SCOM 2007, and another for SCOM 2012.
I would like to suggest you search for the management pack of you product, and then check whether the MP is supported on SCOM 2007.
