Configuring VPN Server in Lab environment
Hi All,
I would like to configure a VPN server in my lab environment. I have 2 DC's and 2 member servers running in my lab. I would like to configure one of this member server as a VPN server. My objective is to test the VPN connection,i would login from my
workstation which has access to internet and the domain which has access to internet as well.
The connection will go via the internet and reach my lab environment and i will be authenticated to my lab domain. Is this feasible? am i missing something here?
I got the steps of how to configure the VPN server in article
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/323441/en-us but not sure about how to setup firewall and other stuufs. Could someone help me pls..

The VPN server should have two NIC cards:
internal NIC public NIC with a public IP address so that it will be reachable using internet connection
The client computer will use a VPN connection to access your internal network.
If you have a firewall then it should allow VPN connections.
Have you tried connecting using a VPN connection with a client computer?

Hi Customer,
Suggest you to configure PPTP VPN. PPTP VPN need to open TCP 1723 and GRE Protocol 47 on your firewall. Below articles should be helpful to you.
