Configuring DFSR
I am pretty new to DFSR (name spaces and replication). Here is the scenario that we would like to configure: FileServer1 is where all of our data sits right now. We have a colo where FileServer2 is located on a separate subnet. We want the data from FileServer1 to be replicated to FileServer2. We need the data on FileServer1 to be redundant. So we would have a single namespace configured that points to both FileServer1 and FileServer2. If someone is at the colo and wants to connect to that namespace, since that person is on the network where fileserve2 is located, we want the namespace to connect that user to fileserver2. And if any files get modified on fileserver2, they immediately get replicated to FileServer1...and vice versa. However if either of the file servers go down, we need for the users that were connected to it to immediately be redirected to the other file server. Is this configuration possible? If so, is there any documentation that could detail this configuration process? We are using Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise.

Different network is not an issue. Please see the below link for DFSR. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc732863(WS.10).aspx Best regards Biswajit Biswas Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
