What I don't understand is how laptops running windows connect automatically to the organization network, and then authenticate to active directory. I mean what should be configured on the laptops to make them connect to the organization network before the authentication process? or maybe it should be configured in the GPO?

Hi , You need to configure the DHCP server to lease out the appropriate ip address to the wirless client , and one major part of address would be the DNS , once the users receive appropriate dns ipaddress, they can join to the domain. This might be your router leasing out the address or the AP . In general scenarios , router will forward the request to the AD . or another option is to configure a windows member server as DHCP server which is connected to the same domain and lease out the ipaddress to the clients.

So by following these steps the user is prompt for credentials every time he wants to log in to active directory?
