We have a situation where we need to clone VMs on VMWare ESX.We have a Windows Server 2008 Terminal Server VM which serves as a template. New software, configuration changes etc is applied to this server. It is not actually used by end users. Further VMs are cloned from this machine for production use, and occasionally get replaced by new clones of the updated template.I need to know what the best practice is in order that Activation succeeds on cloned VMs in accordance with licensing requirements.
