You said that client PCs are very slow like opening word / Excel.
This is not a domain problem but it seems to be a local problem on the system itself.
I think that your client computers may be infected by viruses, spwares or malware programs. Please perform a full scan and delete all of them. Once done, perform a repair install of the client computers OS.

Log into the machine as a local admin. Still slow then its a PC problem, if its fast then could be folder redirection?

Hello,
let's start with some basic settings. Please post an unedited ipconfig /all from the DC/DNS servers and the problem machine.
Additional check that fast logon optimization is disabled

I suggest looking at the event logs on all DCs and troubleshooting any issues. Also, were any new group policies implemented just prior to the probem? Have you removed or changed anything with the DNS servers or removed any DCs?

Hello,
please post the requested output so we can verify some settings.
Additional we need to know what is listed under the forward lookup zone now, it must contain the following 2 zones:
_msdcs.domain.com and domain.com with the underlying forlder structure.Best regards Meinolf Weber Disclaimer: This posting is provided "AS IS" with no warranties or guarantees , and confers no rights.
