Charges when not in use?
I know Virtual Machines aren't charged when powered off & deallocated. But is there a way to do this for a cloud service?

Hi Miclebrick,

If a cloud service is empty or if the cloud services has any DE allocated resources [ example : VM which is stopped deallocated using management portal ] then there will not be any charges.

If you have any resources running inside the cloud services then you will be charged for that particular resources. There is no option to deallocate the cloud service but you may delete it if not in use.

Hey Miclebrick,

Thanks for posting.

When youre using Azure you should think about your gas tank, you are paying for what you are using.

You're not paying for CS if there is nothing on him(Worker Role/VM/ETC..)

The prices are per minute and Microsoft charging per 744 Hours Per Month, you can check for the prices in here:

http://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/calculator/

This calculator is for consumers and not for EA/MSP customers.

Hope it helps,
