Hello, I have a server that I installed with an installation media and some activation keys, volume license Windows Server 2012 R2.

I need to change the volume license key and use the key OEM license purchased.

I saw that with -ipk slmgr command <KEY OEM> can be changed.

I did a test and apparently changed and does not give me any trouble, I would be sure that this procedure is valid.

Base on my experience, current OEM licenses for all Microsoft operating system products are not transferable from one machine to another therefore you can not use the OEM key from others machine, you can ask your hardware vendor to confirm whether there have the legal method.
