How to I set a new global default opening size for the Windows7 console type window(s)?

The issue is I must always change each specific instance of a shortcut or icon only
to have the system sometimes decide it wants to open a cmd window on the fly
using the Windows7 default sizes.

I want all command/cmd/console type windows to open at the size I have entered 1 time at the global level.

It's impossible to have global consistency without changing it at the global level.

as Mike wrote, this is more of a generic Windows Question.

If you want to set the console attributes for all Powershell consoles only however, you can accomplish this by using the Set-Shell function-script and adding it to your profile.
