I am trying to install an EnterpriseRoot PKI server ona new install of Windows 2008Enteprise server. I am an Enterprise Admin, and the install appears to go through fine until the end. I get the message: Active Directory Certificate Services: Installation succeeded with errors <Error>: Certification Authority configuration failed. The following role services were installed: Certification AuthorityAt this point certificate services will not start. I have uninstalled, rebooted, and tries reinstalling with different cryptopgraphic providers, all with the same result.The box has all current important updates.Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.Thanks,Patrick

I had the exact same error.The log indicateda permission problem with the account used during installation. I did not investigate it further, just tried using the domain administrator and that worked. Ole Thomsen
